GQ, along with six of their 2012 Best New Menswear designers, have collaborated on creating an affordable capsule collection for Gap which begins selling its fashionable, yet affordable pieces September 27th. Ian Velardi, Todd Snyder, Saturdays Surf, BLK DNM, Ovadia & Sons, and Mark McNairy New Amsterdam have all been picked by the menswear magazine to create a line to sell at Gap retail stores at prices that any fashion savvy man can afford.
Tuesday, September 18th, both GQ and Gap held an event at Pier 40 in NYC to celebrate the collaboration and launch of the menswear fashion collection which is quickly going become everyone's favorite. The event was held at the warehouse filled with blown up images of the campaign that is hitting all the menswear magazines this season.
While it is the sixth year of GQ and their Best New Menswear Designers in America program, it is the first time that people are able to buy items from these menswear collections by simply going to their local Gap store or online. Each designer created a look for the collection
