Bold stripes, original prints and new graphic logos, these are some of the traits that describe the new Lacoste x Opening Ceremony capsule collection. Recently launched, this powerhouse brand collaboration has injected some streetwear style into the long revered French brand. Founded in 1933, Lacoste has been most famously known for its iconic polo shirt and sportswear, although recently the French company has collaborated with exciting brands to inject some modern style into this classic brand.
I’m excited to share with you guys today that I recently teamed up with Lacoste to bring to you their latest capsule collection with Opening Ceremony. I’ve got to admit, I’m really digging what they have designed together for this collection. The balance between both brands has kept the essence of Lacoste alive, all the while infusing the modern streetwear sensibility that Opening Ceremony has been known for since launching in 2002.
Today I’m sharing with you guys two of my favourite looks from the collection. The first look, and my personal favourite, features the colorblock polo. What sets this polo apart from its classic Lacoste counterparts is the stand-up zip neck detail which adds some dynamic flair to the piece. It completely revamps the classic polo into something really stylish and modern. For the second look I wanted to really feature a unique piece that I feel is something never before seen at Lacoste, the new Lacoste x Opening Ceremony embroidered tee. Not only is the snakeskin print a standout, but the bold embroidered Opening Ceremony logo on the back really sets this piece apart. It’s a piece I see myself wearing a lot this season as it adds a edgy vibe to my wardrobe and perfectly pairs well with a leather jacket and some sneakers, like these also from Lacoste.
