Ever since I was a child my father always reminded me of one thing, you can tell a lot about a person by his watch & shoes. This saying has always stuck with me because it is so true! When a man pays attention to the smaller details, like making sure their shoes are presentable & that their wrist wear game is on point, then most likely they are very meticulous in their day to day life. Because of this small piece of advice given to me by my father I have always been keen to wear a watch at all times.
I've recently partnered with Seiko to showcase their Astron GPS Solar Watch & experience first-hand the new 2014 edition of their watch. Upon opening the box one of the first things I noticed was how well-crafted this watch was. From the sapphire crystal glass to the stainless steel face, every material used on this watch is pure sophistication. With a 30% smaller case compared to its predecessor, the new Astron GPS Solar Watch does not overpower your wrist by its size but rather adds a touch of elegance due to it's perfectly crafted dimensions. With my hectic day-to-day schedule between work, the gym & social events, the extra-strength silicon band on the SSE015 model of the Astron has proven to be perfect in transitioning from more athletic looks to formalwear as I go throughout my day. It has easily become my favorite watch I've had as of yet.
While the exterior of the Astron GPS Solar Watch is truly remarkable, it is what is in the interior of the watch that blows me away. The Astron GPS takes its name by its ability to keep track of what time zone you are in & adjust accordingly by use of GPS satellites. While it may sound silly, the past few months jumping in-between time zones from Cabo, New York City, Vegas & Los Angeles, it became quite difficult keeping track of what time zone I was in. With a push of a button though, the Astron GPS Solar Watch initiates its GPS function to pinpoint the time & day you are in by use of GPS satellites orbiting the planet. This means that literally the Astron is always adjusting the time for you. Another amazing feature is that the Astron does not use batteries but rather uses solar power to keep it running, meaning it will never run out of charge. I've found in the past that my kinetic watches run out of power when I'm not wearing them, meaning every time I would put them on would require me to manually adjust the time & date, the Astron GPS Solar Watch completely fixes this problem & has yet to run out of power on me.
Seiko's Astron GPS Solar Watch is truly a technological advancement to watch functionality that is well ahead of the curve in comparison to other brands. Head on over to Seiko's website (linked below) to check out all of the other styles & features the Astron GPS Solar Watch has to offer.
