Recently I've gotten the opportunity to attend the Australian Open in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena. Because I recently moved to Melbourne I've been able to go multiple days, including opening day. Tennis has always been a passion of mine, so getting to see Venus Williams, Rafael Nadal & Andy Murray throughout the week has been amazing!
Lacoste this year is a sponsor for the Australian Open as well as the official outfitter, because of this I decided to wear a Lacoste look to the Open. While I was there, I also decided to pop into the Lacoste store on the grounds to get a personalized original slim fit polo. I was allowed to choose from every nations flag represented at the Open as well as a few embroidered initials. Because I had Australia Day coming up & also because I wanted to represent my new home, I chose to have the Australian flag as well as the initials & year of the Open on my shoulder. I think I have my new favorite go-to summer polo this year!
I can't wait to attend this years Men's final this weekend & to sport my new polo! Who are you rooting for this year at the Australian Open? Let me know in the comments below.

Life is a Beautiful Sport - Lacoste Sport Campaign
'Life is a Beautiful Sport' is Lacoste's new slogan for their most recent campaign for their eponymous Sport line. Their newest ad, called 'The Big Leap' features Paul Hamy and Anna Brewster in a Seb Edwards directed one minute video which features Hamy taking a leap in life and love. Set to Disclosure's 'You and Me' feat. Eliza Doolittle, the short film illustrates the songs most poignant lyrics.
He is about to risk it all to win the game of his life.
It will take him confidence and courage to make the leap, beautifully.
The visual contrast of Hamy taking a giant leap into the unknown mirrors the everyday leaps like a simple first kiss. Lacoste's message is clear, it takes courage and strength to take leaps in life and in love and that life is our own personal playing field.
Milan FW Trends, How You Can Wear Them
With Milan's Men’s Fashion Week drawn to a close last week, this post is dedicated to the three trends seen on the runways for Spring/Summer 2014. While SS14 may be a year away, with most if not all the pieces shown on the runway not yet available, steal the looks from the three biggest trends right now.
Florals
From Gucci to Prada, florals were a big trend at MFW. From large-scale to a touch in accessories, floral prints were everywhere throughout the collections shown. Taking a cue from Eastern culture, Prada included florals in floral print shirts and hibiscus adorned suitcases. Copy this look with a Libertine-Libertine Shirt with Palm Tree prints.
Monochromatic
If year was all about shades of grey, this year it’s about wearing varying shades of a monochromatic color. Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta and Zegna displayed looks in head to toe color schemes based on a single unifying color. Pair a different hued blue shirt, like this Lacoste Linen Shirt, on top of some jeans you already own and rock your own version of the monochromatic trend.
Bermuda Shorts
If Massimiliano Giometti's SS14 Salvatore Ferragamo show has any indication of the trend for shorts next season, is that Bermuda shorts are making its way back to the sartorial savvy. Straying away of the tight and shorter cuts as of late, many shows featured shorts with a well-tailored and looser fit. Keep cool this summer and slip into these similar Topman Blue Flecked Suit Shorts.
