To be honest there is no “normal” morning for me. I’d like to say I’m the type of person who wakes up early every day & goes through their full self-care & maintenance routine, but I’m not. Most days I’d say I’m lucky if I have enough time to brush a comb through my hair and make it out the door to make it to work on time. Let’s face it, the latter is what probably happens to most of the human population. There are however three things I use every morning that I refuse to skip. THEY ARE A MUST!
What quite possibly can be so important that I’ll prioritize it over anything else? SKINCARE, duh. And no, not just the “oh I want my skin looking perfect” kind of skincare, but the kind that reaps benefits in the long run. You’ve got to have a good foundation to build a house, so you’ve got to take care of your skin from the inside out before you can tackle on the what you see on the outside.
One of the rituals I do every morning that not only improves circulation, firms up my skin AND alleviates my sore muscles from the workout the day before is dry brushing. You can probably google a thousand and one ways to “properly” dry brush, but just do you boo. I personally dry brush before my shower and start from upper body and work my way down.

You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it from me again, WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY. Seriously, I don’t care if you don’t listen to anything I say ever again, but just pay attention to this: you never EVER want to leave the house without applying some sunscreen. Melanoma is no joke, so treat your skin right and take care of it everyday!
And now we’ve come to my last step of my morning routine, applying bronzing gel, because who wouldn’t want to look nice and sun kissed all year long? I’m not a huge fan of applying anything to my face that isn’t absolutely necessary (blame my blemish prone skin!) but the Tom Ford Bronzing Gel is the one superficial product I use daily. The color blends so well that its practically impossible for anyone to tell its not natural. Whats even more great is that it works with almost everyones skin tone!
