They say whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas; but when have I ever been one to follow the rules though? Last week I showed you what I packed for Vegas so today I'm sharing with you my trip & experiences over the last four days in Sin City. Going somewhere for the first time is always exciting because everything you see is completely brand new. While there are a few cities like NYC & LA that I love visiting frequently, it was great to fly off to somewhere completely unknown to me.
I take back any complaint I have ever made of Texas weather, the heat index in Vegas was as high as 110° during our four day stay! While the weather was perfect for laying out & getting some color, I can't say it was ideal for walking around. Luckily, we stayed at Planet Hollywood right on the strip so everything was within a walking distance.
A few of the sights I saw completely blew me away; the view from the Stratosphere was breathtaking, who knew Vegas was such a big city? Between gambling & going out at night, I was able to sneak in a little shopping time at City Center! It would be impossible to walk past Tom Ford & not stop in. There were plenty of stores to check out & not enough time! The Bellagio was my favorite spot to lay out during our stay because it was less crowded than the countless pool parties being thrown at almost every other resort.
A highlight of the trip was our last night in Vegas. We dined at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Paris, Paris which over looked the strip inside of the replica Eiffel Tower. After a 5 star dinner we had a quick change to walk across the street for the Iggy Azalea concert at the Cosmopolitan. The venue was perfect, poolside on the third floor overlooking the strip. When I come back (which I will hopefully soon) I will definitely have to stay at the Cosmo, the look inside was sleek, modern & very trendy.
All in all Vegas was a blast. It was great to get away from a few days & indulge a little bit. Plenty of memories were made & a new city has been ticked off my list of places to visit. I have to admit I'm more of a relax by the beach kind of guy, but it was great to breakout of my comfort level & have some fun.
After spending four days eating, drinking & gambling, it will be a nice change of pace next week when I jet off to Cabo San Lucas for some much appreciated rest & relaxation. Cabo has to hands down be my favorite Mexican beach destination! Like always, make sure to follow me on Instagram to get updates while on my trip!
